Over 40 new homes proposed for Dunblane greenbelt site

Plans for 44 new homes on greenbelt land near Dunblane have been lodged with Stirling Council.

Kippendavie Group Trust, which manages the Kippendavie Estate, has proposed to build the homes at land east of Kellie Wynd, Leighton Avenue and Leighton Court off Robertson Road, the Stirling Observer reports.

The development would comprise self-build and custom-build homes, retirement and family housing, and affordable housing, and would include a neighbourhood community hub and other works.

Documents filed with the council state: “Like most of the land around Dunblane, the site is in the designated greenbelt.

“However, analysis undertaken on behalf of the trust has established that there is a housing shortfall within Stirlingshire, a point reinforced by the high level of demand of new homes within Dunblane.”
