Professional Diploma in Property Factoring in Scotland

The complex nature of Scotland’s land ownership along with a variety of sometimes unworkable title deeds and various legislative introductions over the past two decades has meant that more than ever organisations must ensure they have competent and knowledgeable factoring teams who can provide a professional property management/factoring service to owners. The update to the Property Factor’s Code of Conduct in 2021 also highlighted the need for those providing a property factoring service in Scotland to be trained appropriately to be able to implement the Code of Conduct accurately. Failure to do so could result in removal from the Property Factor’s Register and the inability therefore to provide any service to factored owners.
Continued professional development is important in any career and more of us are seeing the benefits of professionalising our services with industry qualifications, with accreditation in property management/factoring in Scotland being a requirement for those working or looking to work within the sector. Anyone involved in the property management/factoring service in Scotland should therefore now be looking to gain the professional knowledge in factoring property in Scotland as well as recognition of their learning with a professional award and membership of a professional body.
