Reidvale strengthens digital engagement with expanded social media presence
Reidvale Housing Association is encouraging tenants and stakeholders to connect with the organisation through its growing social media presence as part of its wider commitment to accessible and transparent communication.
The Dennistoun-based association is now active across Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, providing regular updates on community events, neighbourhood news and insight into the day-to-day work of the organisation.
Through its digital channels, Reidvale shares information on local activities, service updates and community initiatives, alongside occasional historic images celebrating the area’s distinctive sandstone tenements and rich heritage.
The move forms part of the association’s broader communication strategy, designed to ensure tenants and partners can access information in ways that suit them best.
Denise Dempsey, chairperson of Reidvale Housing Association, said: “Social media provides a quick and accessible way for people to see what is happening across the neighbourhood. It allows us to promote local events, share important updates and highlight the work taking place behind the scenes.
“At the same time, we recognise that digital engagement does not work for everyone. We remain fully committed to traditional methods of communication, including newsletters, letters, our website, telephone contact and face-to-face engagement.
“We want people to connect with us in whatever way suits them best. If you are on social media, we would love you to follow us and say hello. If you are not, you will not miss out.”
Reidvale emphasised that while it welcomes online engagement, no tenant will miss out on information if they choose not to use social media. The association continues to invest in a range of communication channels to ensure inclusive engagement with its community, reflecting its long-standing commitment to local accountability and tenant participation.
