Reidvale to seek formal partnership through transfer of engagements

Reidvale Housing Association has decided to seek a formal partnership through a transfer of engagements to a larger RSL.

The Glasgow landlord employs 17 staff, owns and manages 897 homes and provides factoring services to 232 homeowners.

The Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR) has been engaging with Reidvale following the identification of governance compliance failures in 2019. SHR currently states that “the RSL does not meet regulatory requirements, including the standards of governance and financial management, and it is working to achieve compliance”.

Reidvale has since been conducting various reviews to understand its position on compliance with SHR’s regulatory standards, its financial position, and its wider performance context.

As a result of this work, the management committee instructed an options appraisal to be carried out to consider the future of Reidvale and how best to ensure it can deliver the best for its tenants. After detailed consideration, advice and assessment, the recommendation agreed by the management committee was to seek expressions of interest from organisations that wish to become its transfer partner.
