Residents urged to help shape future of Perth and Kinross

Perth and Kinross residents are being urged to be part of the Big Place conversation before 31 August and complete the big place consultation survey.

Perth and Kinross Council has undertaken an extensive engagement in 2023 with over 100 community events taking place, a mixture of drop-in and awareness sessions, workshops to online event in communities in Perth City, Eastern Perthshire, Strathearn and Strathallan, Almond and Earn to Highland Perthshire. The last in-person workshop took place on Saturday 26 August in Aberfeldy with the last online session to take place on Tuesday August 29.

Over 700 responses have been received to date which will help inform the new Local Development Plan and support decisions about the future of places people live, work and spend time locally in Perth and Kinross.

Leader of Perth and Kinross Council, Councillor Grant Laing, said: “I would like to thank the many people who have already engaged in the Big Conversation. How we get around, shop and access services has a huge impact in our lives. I would urge people who live and work in Perth and Kinross to complete the Big Place Conversation survey.

“It’s important that you tell us what’s important to you, from public transport to the greenspaces you enjoy and the shops and services you use. Your views will be listened to and will shape the Local Development Plan which will run until 2037. Please complete the survey by 31 August!”
