Sarah has been a member of the CIH executive leadership team since 2019 and has led the organisation’s work to support housing professionals through membership and events, qualifications, training and continuing professional development.

During her time at CIH, Sarah has been a strong advocate for professionalism within housing and has overseen the development of programmes designed to support individuals and organisations across the sector.

She will remain with CIH until Christmas to support the organisation’s ongoing work and ensure a smooth transition.

CIH chief executive Gavin Smart said: “Sarah has made a significant contribution to CIH and to the wider housing profession. Her commitment to supporting housing professionals and raising standards across the sector has had a lasting impact on our organisation and our members.

“On behalf of everyone at CIH, I want to thank Sarah for her dedication, leadership and friendship. While we are sorry to see her leave, we wish her the very best for the future.”

Sarah Dunkerley added: “It has been a privilege to serve as Director of Membership and Professional Development and to work with colleagues, members and partners who are so passionate about making a difference through housing.

“I have greatly enjoyed my time at CIH and am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together. While I am looking forward to a new chapter, I will always value my connection to CIH and the housing profession.”

A recruitment process for a successor will begin in the coming weeks, and CIH will announce further details in due course.
