Scarf has received a special commendation in the Fuel Poverty & Vulnerable Customer Support category at the National Energy Efficiency Awards 2025.

The recognition builds on the organisation’s earlier regional award win and marks a proud moment in its 40th anniversary year.

The commendation, for Scarf’s work helping households reduce energy costs and access vital support, was made possible through a nomination by BRB Ltd, one of Scarf’s partners.

“Being recognised nationally as we celebrate our 40th anniversary is a real milestone for Scarf. It reflects the dedication of our team and the difference we make every day for households across Scotland,” said Lawrence Johnston, co-CEO at Scarf. “We’re grateful to BRB for nominating us. Strong, values-driven partnerships like this are central to the work we do every day.”

BRB was delighted to see Scarf receive a Special Commendation for this award category.

BRB director Brian Buchanan said: “Right from the start we were really impressed with Scarf’s professionalism and their proactive and holistic approach. We quickly recognised their ability to turn innovative thinking into practical action to support fuel poor and vulnerable clients. BRB nominated Scarf because of their commitment to and impact on the people they support.”
