Scottish Construction Summit showcased on The Hard Hat Talks podcast

Kieran Findlay, Kenneth Martin and Paul McDevitt

Scottish Housing News editor Kieran Findlay has appeared on The Hard Hat Talks podcast to showcase the benefits of attending next month’s Scottish Construction Summit.

The free-to-attend event, which encompasses the Scottish Housing Summit - a stage of speakers and exhibitors dedicated to housing, will take place at the SEC Glasgow on October 22nd.

In the episode, host Kenneth Martin, founder and managing director of Block Architects, is joined by Kieran Findlay and Summit programme co-ordinator Paul McDevitt to look at how this year’s event is bringing more of Scotland’s construction and built environment sector into the same room – creating a free-to-attend platform for clients, contractors, consultants, suppliers, students, decision-makers and industry voices to connect.

Rather than simply asking what is wrong with the industry, the conversation focuses on how construction can move from identifying problems to sharing practical ideas, building stronger connections and creating momentum for change.

From social housing and retrofit to future talent, sustainability, leadership and the need for more joined-up industry conversations, this episode explores why events like the Scottish Construction Summit matter – and why Scotland’s construction sector needs spaces where real people, real businesses and real delivery voices can be heard.
