Share announces board changes and new appointments at AGM

Share, the learning and development organisation for the Scottish housing sector, held its annual general meeting and board meeting on Thursday 9 October, during which it shared key updates and announced changes to its board of directors.

At the meeting, board member Susan Bell stepped down. Susan played an important role in supporting Share over the last few years whilst the organisation has gone through a period of major change and growth.

Daryl McIntosh, chief executive officer, said: “We would like to express our sincere thanks to Susan for her time, expertise and commitment to Share. The Share staff and board wish Susan well.”

The charity also welcomed new board member Brian Moran who brings with him a wealth of experience in the real estate industry. Brian, now retired, was previously an area director for Your Move and has experience working on Boards with Propertymark and the Scottish Property Ombudsman. Brian is expected to contribute significantly to the charity’s strategic direction as it continues to deliver high-quality training to the housing and property sector.

“We’re very pleased to welcome Brian to the Board,” added Daryl. “His insight and experience will strengthen our commercial offerings and help us meet the evolving needs of the sector.”

Allan Scott, chair at Milnbank Housing Association, retains his position as chair at Share. Anna Stuart MBE, chair at Cassiltoun Housing Association, will step down as vice chair.

The Share staff and board thank Anna for her contributions as vice chair and are looking forward to continue working with Anna in her capacity as board member. Meanwhile Larke Adger, chief executive at West-Granton Housing Co-operative, will be Share’s new vice chair.

Share remains committed to supporting housing professionals through practical, accessible training and looks forward to building on its achievements in the year ahead. Share provides learning and development resources to the housing and property management sector.
