Share unveils Inspiring Leadership Conference 2026 programme

Share has unveiled the full programme for its Inspiring Leadership Conference, taking place on Wednesday 19 August 2026 at DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central.

Taking place next month, the conference is designed to support leaders at every stage of their career, bringing together housing professionals, emerging leaders and sector experts for a day of practical learning, collaboration and networking. With keynote speakers, interactive sessions and facilitated discussions exploring some of the most important issues facing the housing sector, the full programme is now available for delegates to explore.

The conference begins with registration, networking and refreshments, kindly sponsored by DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central, before a welcome from Share CEO, Daryl McIntosh.

The opening keynote, Leading Under Pressure: Building Self-Leadership in Challenging Environments, will be delivered by Lee Eldridge, founder of Cognitive Athlete. Focusing on self-awareness, resilience and decision-making, the session will explore practical strategies for leading with confidence through challenge and change.

Delegates will then take part in facilitated roundtable discussions, offering the opportunity to exchange ideas and hear from experienced practitioners on key issues affecting the sector. Topics include housing finance and investment, AI in housing operations, and embedding anti-racism in organisational culture, with discussions led by representatives from West of Scotland Housing Association, Govanhill Housing Association and Wheatley Group.

Following a networking break, Lisa Marshall will present The Strength to Speak: Leadership Through Loss, sharing how her lived experience of bereavement and mental health has shaped her approach to leadership. The session explores the role of empathy, authenticity and courage in building supportive workplace cultures.

In the afternoon, delegates will take part in an interactive Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Simulation, led by James Ward, CEO of Whiteinch and Scotstoun Housing Association. Working through a realistic crisis scenario, participants will develop practical skills in collaboration, decision-making and organisational resilience.

The final keynote of the day, The Power of Motivational Intelligence, will be delivered by James Fleming, Managing Director and Founder of the Power Within Training. James will explore how mindset and motivation influence leadership behaviours and how leaders can overcome limiting beliefs to unlock their own potential and inspire others.

The conference concludes at 3.00pm, following a day of insight, discussion and practical learning designed to leave delegates with fresh ideas, new connections and leadership tools they can apply in their own organisations.
