Social Bite launches 2022 Break the Cycle event

Social Bite has officially launched its Break the Cycle 2022 campaign with the support of Scottish sporting legends Sir Chris Hoy and Al Kellock.

This year, the charity is raising vital funds to scale up Social Bite’s provision of homes, jobs, and free food to truly break the cycle of homelessness.

The event is even bigger and better with two additional routes, some familiar faces (including Sir Chris Hoy returning for a second year), and a new finishing site at none other than the home of Scottish Rugby, BT Murrayfield Stadium.

Announcing the campaign, Josh Littlejohn, Social Bite founder, said: “Whether it’s setting your personal best for the ultimate challenge of 60 miles, enjoying the more scenic challenge of 20 miles, or getting the whole family involved in the Wee One at 3 miles – every bit of fundraising will make an incredible difference to help break the cycle of homelessness.

“Cycling isn’t for everyone, so if you can’t join us for one of the live event routes; we’re asking you to complete a physical challenge of 60 miles during the month of August in any way that suits you. Whether you choose to walk 2 miles every day or cycle 60 miles in one day, the choice is yours - your miles, done your way.”

Social Bite aims to raise £1 million to help fund three key areas of its work; jobs, homes, and food.
