Sunday Times Top 100 spot for Wheatley Group
Wheatley Group has made it onto the Sunday Times’ Top 100 Not For Profit Companies list for the third time.
The housing, care and property-management group has ranked 47th on the prestigious list, which details the best companies to work for.
The group has climbed 11 places compared with its ranking of 58th place in 2015.
Wheatley is the highest ranked company headquartered in Scotland, and one of only six organisations with more than 1,000 employees to make the list.
Placement on the Top 100 is solely determined by staff feedback on factors including personal development, pay and benefits, organisational leadership, wellbeing and the ability to give something back.
The listing recognised that almost half of Wheatley’s workforce has served the organisation for more than a decade.
It also highlighted the creation of opportunities for young people in disadvantaged communities – including apprenticeships.
Wheatley chief executive, Martin Armstrong, said: “To make it onto the list more than once is an accomplishment in itself. But to move up the list shows the considerable progress we’ve made during a period where we’ve grown, welcoming new subsidiaries on board.
“It’s a fantastic achievement made possible by our dedicated and committed staff.”
