Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has been granted planning permission by North Lanarkshire Council to deliver 117 new homes off Manse Road.

Pre-construction works for the development, which follows a previously successful development in Bargeddie, are already underway.

The approved plans for Manse View will feature a variety of three and four-bedroom homes. This new neighbourhood will include a central green park, complemented by a play area. The development will also introduce a new range of homes that Taylor Wimpey plans to construct in Scotland, ensuring high-quality living spaces for future homeowners.

As part of its commitment to making changes to help build a more sustainable future, the development will also include a range of measures to enhance the area for local wildlife and improve biodiversity, including features such as bug hotels, bee bricks, bird boxes and hedgehog highways.

Martin Findlay, technical director at Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, said: “We are delighted to have secured planning consent from North Lanarkshire Council for our next development in Bargeddie.

“This allows us to expand our range of new homes for customers in the local area. It is also a significant step for our business, as we are now building our new house type range here, offering more choices for homeowners looking to buy a new home.

“We are pleased to have begun our programme of pre-construction works, and we plan to launch the first new homes for sale later this year.

“This latest planning consent for new homes in North Lanarkshire demonstrates our commitment to continue to invest in the local area.”
