A Scottish-based training provider is marking ten years as an SQA Centre with a continued ‘High Confidence’ rating – and the team is celebrating by enjoying a well-earned slice of cake and welcoming applications for its latest round of professional development courses.

LinkLiving Skills Academy, part of Link Group, has grown from a small bespoke training centre to a leading provider of accredited qualifications for professionals across Scotland.

Its programmes have supported thousands of people to strengthen their practice and deliver improved outcomes for the organisations and communities they serve.

The Skills Academy was one of the first organisations in Scotland to deliver the Professional Development Award (PDA) in Approaches to Trauma Informed Practice, and recently won a CIH Scotland Award for its leadership development programmes in 2024.

November will see the start of four SQA-accredited Professional Development Awards, to be held in Falkirk and Edinburgh.

Courses include ‘Aspiring leaders’ (SCQF Level 6), ‘Inspiring leaders’ (SCQF Level 8), and the trauma-informed practice PDA (SCQF Level 7).

In addition to expanding its training offer, LinkLiving has recently opened a new modern learning space, complete with a 100” screen and collaborative work areas, at its Academy in Falkirk.

Head of centre Nicky Paton said: “We’re proud of the impact our learners go on to make in their organisations and communities. This anniversary is a chance to reflect on ten years of quality, innovation, and commitment to professional growth – and to invite more people to be part of that story.”

The Skills Academy’s Falkirk site is located directly opposite Falkirk Grahamston station, with frequent trains from Glasgow and Edinburgh.
