The Scottish Homebuilding & Renovating Show back in Edinburgh this weekend

The show, sponsored by self-build specialists Fleming Homes, provides a unique opportunity to swap months of scouring the internet, for face-to-face consultations with experts, attend free seminars and masterclasses, and the chance to check out the latest products, services, and innovations from over 120 exhibitors.

Exhibitors will showcase everything for every type of project under one roof, including extensions, conversions, home DIY, planning permission, interiors, lighting; doors, windows, renewable technologies, heating systems, project finance, insurance and building regulations.            

There are over 20 free live events throughout the two-day show including ever-popular sessions covering how to slash your fuel bills, kitchen design trends and extension design ideas.

Must-see speakers include MarieAnne Messenger, the award-winning interior architect and garden designer, who runs Edinburgh-based Studio MA.

MarieAnne will explain how to enhance an outdoor space with practical, stylish, and sustainable design solutions. Perfect for anyone looking to elevate their home renovation projects with beautiful landscaping.

Clare Wade of Fife-based Cat Lighting is a qualified Lighting Designer, who will share the importance of planning your lighting so you get it right from the start. Clare will show you how to interrogate the architect’s plans, make decisions about the style of lighting you want, and build in the right type of light where and how you need it.

Aira, one of Europe’s leading direct-to-consumer clean energy-tech players, based locally in Stirling, will present a masterclass The Power of Heat Pumps: Cutting Costs and Carbon Emissions.

Scottish architect Allan Corfield will take to the stage to share the secret of adding space without extending, including ideas for loft, garage, and cellar conversions.

David Hilton, heating and eco expert also be on hand to explain how to make an old home more comfortable AND reduce running costs. 

There will also be free one-to-one sessions with experts available at The Advice Centre, covering every project from first home alterations to a full-scale self-build. Experts will include architects, builders, finance, eco and planning professionals,
