Dundee-based solicitor, Lisa Mannion, is helping feed vulnerable people over the festive period by organising a collection for a local foodbank.

Ms Mannion, a solicitor in the residential conveyancing team at Thorntons, collected food and supplies for Dundee Food Bank – run by the Trustell Trust – with the help of her colleagues. This year, Thorntons provided 30 boxes of food and toiletries for those in need across the area, just in time for Christmas.

She said: “The Trussell Trust plays such an important role in the local community, providing support for those who are struggling financially in Dundee. Christmas can be an especially difficult period for people and it is great to help support the charity at this time of year.

“The response from those working at Thorntons has been amazing. I’d like to thank everyone for their kind donations – hopefully it will make a genuine difference for those in need.”

Dundee Food Bank, run by the Trussell Trust charity, is based at the Full Gospel Church on Dundee’s Constitution Street.
