Tighean Innse Gall invites new members ahead of September AGM

Tighean Innse Gall (TIG) is encouraging individuals and organisations across the Outer Hebrides to consider becoming members ahead of its Annual General Meeting in September 2025.

TIG is a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014. It delivers housing and affordable warmth initiatives across the islands, supporting local people to live in warm, safe, and sustainable homes.

Membership of TIG is open to anyone aged 16 or over who has an interest in the organisation’s work. This includes residents in the Outer Hebrides, as well as people and organisations who support or are involved in community-led housing and affordable warmth projects. TIG tenants aged 16 or above are also eligible to apply.

“Joining TIG is a simple, low-commitment way to show your support for housing and affordable warmth in our communities,” said Donna Smith, CEO of TIG. “It’s also a great way to stay connected with our projects and take part in helping shape our work.”

Corporate membership is available to organisations based in the Outer Hebrides whose aims and activities complement TIG’s mission.

There is no ongoing obligation for members beyond expressing support for TIG’s aims. Members are kept up to date with the organisation’s work and are invited to take part in key events such as the AGM.

Applications are welcome in June and July and will be reviewed at the next meetings of TIG’s Management Committee. To apply, prospective members should complete a short application form and submit it along with a £1 membership fee. Forms can be sent by post or email.
