Trust Housing Association has achieved the prestigious Gold Status from Investors in People. Across the UK, only 7 per cent of organisations hold this level.

Trust’s Gold accreditation represents a true commitment to employees and demonstrates a solid foundation of good practice.

Chief Executive, Rhona McLeod said: “This achievement is testament to the excellent training and development programmes within our organisation and the way we recruit, encourage and support our employees. I am extremely proud that we have been able to show that this is the case with both our frontline and office based staff. Every member of staff plays an important role and should be proud of this success.”

‘Feedback from our assessor confirmed that staff are engaged with and motivated by our 2014 - 2019 ‘Bright Future’ strategy and that our core values are clearly embedded.’

The report stated it was evident that Trust is fully inclusive in everything they do and noted how much people embrace what is trying to be achieved. Staff “really believe they can make a difference.”

The report also mentioned that leaders and managers treat their staff in exactly the same way as customers and noted that “Trust cares about people.”

Peter Russian, Chief Executive of Investors in People Scotland, said, “This is a fantastic achievement for Trust Housing Association. I would like to congratulate the organisation and its people on their commitment to continuous improvement. Investors in People offers a flexible, practical and easy to use business improvement tool designed to help organisations and their people achieve their objectives. I hope that more organisations across Scotland will be encouraged to link their business objectives to their people strategy by choosing to work with us.”
