Two Thenue venues stage Hallowe’en fun for families
Thenue Communities served up a double helping of horror by staging two Hallowe’en family fun events.
At Calton in Glasgow’s east end, a Hallowe’en party for kids took place featuring children’s entertainer Captain Fantastic.
He led the fun with a series of spooky, science-focused experiments which delighted those attending the event, supported by the charitable group Allia.
And at Netherholm Hall in Castlemilk, another Hallowe’en event took place with the usual fun, games, free food and an arts and crafts theme with the making of Hallowe’en lanterns.
Thenue Communities is a charitable subsidiary of Thenue Housing and has been working to support community togetherness through the management of its two community facilities where the Hallowe’en events took place
It has been operating since the opening of Calton Heritage & Learning Centre in 2013. This was followed by the opening of the Netherholm hall in 2018.
In Calton, a number of children attending the event were from the Polish playgroup known as Together. And all children received a Hallowe’en bucket of goodies and ice cream kindly donated by ice cream firm Crolla.
A spokesperson for Thenue said: “This Hallowe’en we were able to offer double the fun at our two community venues – both designed to serve up some entertaining Hallowe’en activities for families. We hope everyone had a great time.”
