Under One Roof appoints Katharina Bandmann as education and training officer

Under One Roof, Scotland’s tenement charity, has welcomed Katharina Bandmann as a new education and training officer.
She replaces Jacqueline Omoniyi, who left Under One Roof in April after four years of dedicated service. She has gone on to work for Share, a learning and development company for the housing and property sector.
Katharina Bandmann, who has an MSc in Housing Studies from Stirling University, and is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Housing, brings a broad range of experiences to the role of Education and Training Officer. She has worked in the social and private rented housing sectors, as well as in other information and advice provision roles. Most recently, she coordinated the first Community Led Housing Alliance in Scotland.
Mike Heffron, CEO of Under One Roof, said: “Jacqueline was one of the first employees of Under One Scotland and helped shape it and raise its profile with her dedication, knowledge, and experience. She is an expert in the property sector and an excellent trainer, and we all wish her well at Share.
“We are delighted to bring Katharina on board as our new Education and Training Officer. Her experience in working to improve housing in Scotland will be an excellent asset to our charity and those flat owners and housing professionals who seek information about how to manage repairs and maintenance in their tenement buildings.
“In addition, her experience of co-ordinating a Community Led Housing Alliance will be an asset to us as we advocate for new tenement legislation in the form of mandatory owners’ associations, building reserve funds, and five-year inspections.”
