Paul Farrell, director of WWHC, said: “It was clear from the outset of the pandemic that we would need to mount a massive response to meet the needs of our vulnerable tenant/members who would be isolating and shielding. Our housing staff working in conjunction with our Community Development Team in Whitlawburn Community Resource Centre, have responded magnificently.”

Stuart Borland, centre manager at Whitlawburn Community Resource Centre, added: “It is a great team effort. Our staff, Claire and Myra, along with Michelle from the cafe and the UTD sports guys are working tirelessly to deliver vital supplies to the needy at this time of crisis.

“The appreciation from tenant/members has been wonderful. We have received many compliments for our work. One tenant/member even said we must be mind-readers as the food parcel she received from us almost mirrored her normal weekly grocery list.”

WWHC is continuing to provide essential and emergency/urgent services and is available for tenants/members to contact staff 24 hours per day.
