HABC Level 3 Award in Legionella Control for Responsible Persons

There is now greater awareness of legionella and the devastating impact it can have on environments and people. While high-profile outbreaks and public enquiries into those outbreaks have been prominent in the news over the last few decades, it’s become more important than ever to ensure those responsible for controlling the risk of legionella have the requisite knowledge.
This HABC accredited qualification has been designed for delegates who want to widen their knowledge and understanding of the effects of legionella disease and the importance of the ‘responsible person’. It is aimed at those individuals with managerial responsibility for Health and Safety, who have sufficient authority, competence and knowledge of water systems and water hygiene management, to interpret regulations such as the Approved Code of Practice L8:2013 and HSG 274 parts 1-3.
The course includes relevant and specific examples relating to the social housing sector.
