Who is it for and what is it about?

This introductory course provides non‑technical staff with the knowledge and confidence to understand the fundamentals of building maintenance in residential and mixed‑use properties. The course demystifies common building elements, explains how maintenance issues arise, and outlines the roles and responsibilities involved in managing repairs and planned works. Through practical examples and case studies, delegates will learn how to recognise common building defects, communicate effectively with residents and contractors, and support decision‑making within their organisation.
