Neurodiversity and the customer experience

Who is it for and what is it about?

The purpose of this half day session is to introduce participants to the concept of neurodiversity, what that means for our practice and how we can make our services more accessible and our interaction with neurodivergent customers more engaging and productive. 

The course will include information on areas such as Autism, Autistic Spectrum Disorder (Including Asperger’s Syndrome), ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia amongst others and will allow discussion on what these conditions mean for those experiencing them, but also what we can do to engage with and be more engaging for our neurodivergent customers.   

Course Content: 
    • What is neurodiversity?
    • The experiences of neurodivergent customers and how our practices may unwittingly be creating difficulties for them
    • How to adjust customer service delivery to enable better engagement with our neurodivergent customers

Learning Outcomes:
    • Have a better understanding of the range of conditions that may be described as neurodivergent
    • Appreciate how we can adapt our customer service delivery to ensure that neurodivergent customers need are met
    • Improve overall customer service delivery in your organisation by addressing these needs
