Who’s it for and what’s it about?

This session is designed for housing professionals who may come into contact with people experiencing domestic abuse, including housing officers, tenancy sustainment teams, homelessness teams, allocations staff, repairs staff, customer-facing staff, community teams, safeguarding staff, managers and other frontline professionals. It is particularly useful for professionals who may recognise domestic abuse but are unsure where to go next or which specialist service is most appropriate.

This session provides an overview of the support available through Glasgow Women’s Aid, alongside other specialist services and sources of support available across Scotland. It will help participants understand what different organisations do, who they support, when to signpost, when to refer and how to make a safe referral.

• Feel more confident having conversations about specialist support with tenants.
• Feel more confident knowing what support is available.
