About Forth Housing Association
Forth Housing Association is a registered Scottish charity and Registered Social Landlord, providing more than 1,000 high-quality, affordable homes across Stirling. Our voluntary Management Committee members work with the staff team to maintain our high standards of our governance and deliver our ambitious strategic objectives.
Our Management Committee plays a vital role in setting the strategic direction of the Association, ensuring we are well governed, financially sustainable and focused on delivering excellent services for our tenants and communities.
You Don’t Need Housing Experience
You don’t need previous board or management committee experience within a housing associations setting to join us. We’re looking for people who are curious, committed and keen to make a difference. If you have transferable skills, enjoy asking thoughtful questions and can bring fresh perspectives, you could make a valuable contribution.
We’re Looking for People From All Backgrounds
We welcome applications from people with a wide range of skills, lived experience and community perspectives. In particular, we would encourage applications from:
· existing tenants and members of their households;
· shared owners and members of their households;
· people living in communities where we provide housing;
· professionals working in finance, business, legal services, HR, IT, digital technology, marketing, communications, education, health, construction, engineering, property, asset management, sustainability or customer service; and
· anyone who is passionate about improving homes, services and communities.
About the Role
As a member of the Management Committee, you’ll work with fellow committee members and our senior leadership team to help shape the strategic direction of the Association, oversee performance and financial sustainability, and ensure we continue to deliver excellent services for our tenants and communities. Your contribution will directly influence decisions that make a lasting difference to people’s lives.
You’ll also have the opportunity to develop your own skills and experience in governance, strategic decision-making, financial oversight and collaborative leadership. We provide a comprehensive induction together with ongoing training and support, so you can feel confident and well equipped in your role.

Time Commitment
· Eight Management Committee meetings each year
· Option to join a Sub Committee focusing on Audit & Risk, Staffing or Asset & Development
· Meetings are normally held on Tuesdays from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm and held at Forth’s offices, 146 Drip Road, Stirling, FK8 0DZ, with the option to attend remotely via Microsoft Teams
· An annual strategy planning event and occasional training sessions
Reasonable out-of-pocket expenses, including travel and childcare costs incurred while undertaking your role, will be reimbursed.
