Flower power has returned to Glasgow just in time for summer thanks to Maryhill Housing.

The Association has installed ten delightful flower boxes along the length of the busy Maryhill Road used by tens of thousands of people each day – and they are already in full bloom.

The impressive displays enhance the appearance of the community and many people have already commented on the transformation.

The boxes, which are attached to railings, feature the new logo of Maryhill Housing and are the Association’s contribution to making the best known street in Maryhill bright and colourful.

Mark McKay of Maryhill Housing said: “We are committed to ensuring environmental issues such as making the community bright and colourful are given a high priority. They are near the top of the agenda for our customers and we know that because of the feedback we’ve received.

“The flowers are a perfect accompaniment to the ongoing environmental work by the Association. All these things matter greatly in the community. We are pleased to be doing our bit to make all these things happen.”
