Grant fund to help social tenants access ebikes

Social housing providers in Scotland can apply for funding to help tenants access the benefits of ebikes.

The Transport Scotland eBike Grant Fund for 2019/20 has provided over 100 e-bikes to 19 organisations across Scotland with over £273,000 awarded so far.

The fund is focused on supporting the adoption of ebikes and ecargo bikes as an alternative to car journeys, allowing communities across Scotland to access the benefits of ebikes in an affordable way. Category A (up to £25,000) and Category B (up to £200,000) funding is available. Since the initiative began, over 600 ebikes have been funded.

The deadline for the next round of funding is fast approaching.

  • Category A – 29th November 2019
  • Category B – 9th December 2019

More information about the application process and what to expect is available here.

The fund is administered by the Energy Saving Trust. For further information or to request an application form, contact a member of the eBike Grant Fund team on 0131 555 8642 or email eBikeGrantsScot@est.org.uk.
