Cunninghame’s executive director of housing and communities, Jennifer McCann, opened the event, where cheques were presented by Jennifer and chairperson, Janet Strang, before everyone enjoyed lunch and had some time to network with other volunteers.
Jacqueline Cameron, chief executive officer, said: “I want to congratulate all of this year’s successful applicants. Their dedication strengthens our communities and reflects exactly what this fund was created to achieve.”
Since the fund first launched in North and East Ayrshire in 1999 – and later expanded to Dumfries and Galloway and all CHA communities – it has continued to evolve to meet local needs.
Chairperson Janet Strang said: “I’d like to extend my congratulations to this year’s successful applicants. Their hard work and commitment not only drive meaningful impact but also embody the true purpose of the Making Our Communities Better Places Fund.”
