Abertay submits plans for 44 new homes at former primary school site

The old school was demolished in 2007

Abertay Housing Association has submitted plans to build 44 new homes on the site of the former Mossgiel Primary School in Dundee.

The site, located on Ballochmyle Drive in Linlathen, has been vacant since the primary school closed in 2007 and was later demolished. The demolition came two years after the council had announced plans to merge the school with nearby Mid Craigie Primary.

The new development would include special apartments for those with additional support needs, alongside staff accommodation.

According to the planning documents, a single street would run through the development, between Ballochmyle Drive and Alloway Gardens, The Courier reports.

Around 75% of the homes would have three bedrooms or more.
