A pioneering partnership of Ayrshire housing associations has unveiled a new identity as it continues to strengthen collaboration, share expertise and deliver better outcomes for tenants and communities across the region.

Formerly known as the Eydent Group, the partnership will now be known as the Ayrshire Homes Alliance (AHA) – a name chosen to better reflect the purpose, geography and collective strength of the alliance.

The Ayrshire Homes Alliance brings together five housing associations – Shire Housing Association, Atrium Homes, Ayrshire Housing, Cunninghame Housing Association and Riverside Scotland – to work collaboratively on shared challenges and opportunities within the housing sector.

The rebrand follows a review of the partnership’s identity, which identified that the previous name, Eydent, did not clearly communicate who the group was or what it aimed to achieve. The new name provides immediate recognition by combining geography, housing and partnership in a way that is easily understood by tenants, partners, policymakers and stakeholders.

The alliance’s new positioning statement –“Working together to deliver better homes, quality services and stronger communities across Ayrshire” – reflects its shared commitment to improving outcomes for customers while maximising the benefits of collaboration.

Through joint working, the Ayrshire Homes Alliance aims to create opportunities to share knowledge, develop innovative approaches, strengthen services and respond collectively to the challenges facing housing providers and communities. The partnership also provides a stronger regional voice when engaging with policymakers, stakeholders and funding bodies.

The new brand is underpinned by a set of shared values, including collaboration, trust, community focus, innovation and regional leadership. These principles will guide the alliance’s future work and reinforce its commitment to delivering tangible benefits for tenants and communities throughout Ayrshire.

The alliance believes the new name and identity will help increase awareness of the partnership’s work, strengthen stakeholder engagement and support future opportunities for collaboration across the housing sector.

Speaking on behalf of the alliance, Gary Naylor, managing director of Riverside Scotland, said: “The move to Ayrshire Homes Alliance marks an important step forward for our partnership. While our commitment to collaboration remains unchanged, our new name provides much greater clarity about who we are and what we do.

“Together, our five organisations are committed to delivering better homes, stronger services and thriving communities. By working collectively, we can share expertise, develop innovative solutions and create even greater benefits for our tenants and communities across Ayrshire.

“The Ayrshire Homes Alliance reflects both our shared purpose and our ambition for the future.”

As the partnership continues to evolve, the Ayrshire Homes Alliance will build on its track record of collaborative working while strengthening its position as a recognised and influential voice for housing across Ayrshire and beyond.
