Following the external promotion of the previous post holder, Pineview reviewed whether it required the senior housing officer position and agreed to commence a recruitment process.

The Association said it was fortunate to receive a volume of applications, which were shortlisted down to four “exceptional” candidates.

A spokesperson said: “The interviewed applicants were all of a very high standard and Pineview could have employed any of them. Due to the high calibre, the scoring outcomes were very close, with Ben nudging ahead.

“We congratulate Ben on his success, but also want to thank the other interviewees for their time and professionalism, and we would encourage them to continue to pursue promotion in their career as they are all more than capable.”

Previously a housing services officer at Pineview, Ben Keenan was named the winner of the NextGen Leaders Award at the 2025 Scottish Federation of Housing Associations Annual Conference in June.
