Bridgewater Housing Association fosters community spirit at Wellbeing Day

Bridgewater Housing Association has hailed the overwhelming success of its recent Wellbeing Day, which brought together residents and community members for an afternoon of fun, relaxation, and connection.
Held on Thursday, 31st July 2025, at the Bargarran Community Centre, the event was designed to promote health and wellbeing while strengthening community bonds.
The day was a colourful hub of activity, with attendees enjoying a diverse range of offerings.
The event featured a variety of engaging activities including raffles, an interactive smoothie bike and arts & crafts to name but a few. The association’s Information Village brought local organisations together, providing an opportunity for the community to easily access information relevant to them in a friendly and welcoming environment.
Guests also enjoyed refreshments as well as a chance to check the association’s wellbeing taster sessions of reiki, armchair yoga and drop-in sewing skills. For children, the day was particularly memorable, with fun-filled circus skills classes, face painting and other activities designed just for them.

As a community-anchor organisation, Bridgewater Housing Association is committed to creating opportunities that go beyond providing housing. Events like the Wellbeing Day are crucial for fostering a strong sense of community and building lasting relationships among residents of all ages.
The Association said it looks forward to hosting more events in the future and encourages everyone to keep an eye out for announcements. In the meantime, the community is invited to the popular ‘Coffee & Catchup Chat Sessions’ held every Monday from 1:30–3:00 PM at the Bargarran Community Centre, which provides a relaxed setting for conversation and connection.
The Association gave a big thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to making the Wellbeing Day a truly memorable occasion.
