Cairn hosts community fun day for families in Irvine

Cairn Housing Association hosted its annual fun day which was held at Redburn Community Centre, bringing together families across Irvine.

The event welcomed tenants and local residents for an afternoon of entertainment and activities, such as a bouncy castle, face painting, a disco, giant games, inflatable axe throwing and food.

Alongside the family activities, several partner organisations were on hand at the free event to provide advice and support on a variety of subjects such as energy, money, health and wellbeing.

Their presence meant that visitors had the chance to receive practical guidance and talk to organisations that can deliver support.

Audrey Simpson, chief executive of Cairn Housing Association, said: “Our annual fun day is a fantastic opportunity to bring people together, strengthen community connections and provide a fun day out for our tenants and their families.

“We’re grateful to everyone who came along, as well as the partner organisations who gave their time to support the event. Their advice and expertise added real value, helping to make it a great day for the whole community.”

The fun day is part Cairn’s efforts in supporting communities by helping to unite people and help tenants get the advice and support they are seeking.
