Commemorative publication highlights 40 years of Partick Housing Association
Through interviews with tenants, current and former employees and board members, the publication outlines how Glasgow’s built heritage was preserved by housing associations. There are also photographs of Partick from 40 years ago to the present, showing the changes to the urban landscape over this period.
Mark Hughes, community projects officer, said: “Forty years is a significant milestone for the Association and we felt that it was important to have its history documented for posterity. While we wanted to show the impact that PHA has had on the area, we didn’t want to create an academic text. The publication has lots of photographs and anecdotes, which we hope people will find informative and enjoyable.”
