Ardrossan Indoor Bowling Club has been awarded £750 from Cunninghame Housing Association (CHA).

A cheque was presented to club representatives from Janet Strang, chairperson of CHA.

Janet Strang said: “The Association is committed to supporting local Clubs who work hard to encourage members of the community young and old to participate in sport. Ardrossan Indoor Bowling Club’s ‘Be Active In The Community’ initiative does just that, by encouraging local people of all ages to try bowling.”

Frank Sweeney, chief executive of Cunninghame Housing Association, added: “As a Community Anchor Housing Association and Social Enterprise and accepting our stated commitment of ‘Making Our Communities Better Places’, the Association actively looks to give its financial support to local projects/initiatives that give benefit and added value to the community. CHA’s Voluntary Board of Management is delighted to be able to support this excellent local community facility.”
