The accolade was established in 2023 in memory of former Eildon chairman, Bill Wilkie MBE.

At the Borders College Graduation Ceremony, held at the Borders Events Centre on Friday 18 September, Eildon chief executive Nile Istephan presented the prestigious Bill Wilkie Memorial Quaich to this year’s deserving recipient, Erin Moffat, in recognition of her outstanding achievement.

Nile Istephan said: “This year’s graduation ceremony was a fantastic celebration of talent, achievement and ambition. I was incredibly impressed by the calibre of students and the bright future ahead of them. The Bill Wilkie Award honours the memory of our esteemed former chairman, Bill Wilkie MBE, whose unwavering dedication and commitment to Eildon left a lasting legacy.

“Annie Wilkie (Bill’s widow) attended the ceremony and I know she would agree that Bill would have been delighted to see Erin recognised for her hard work and accomplishments. I offer Erin my warmest congratulations on this well-deserved award.”
