Energy and sustainability consultancy Carbon Futures appoints new director

Growing energy and sustainability consultancy Carbon Futures has appointed David Russell as its new director.

Taking up the post formally from March 2017, David brings over 15 years’ architectural experience with particular expertise in the residential sector developing major regeneration projects throughout the country. Previously David held the position of associate within Glasgow-based architectural practice Anderson Bell + Christie having been with the company for over 12 years.

David will now join fellow director Andrew Money to lead Carbon Futures as the company continues to deliver sustainable, energy efficient solutions for a variety of construction projects throughout the country.

Andrew Money said: “I’m delighted to welcome David to Carbon Futures. He offers a wealth of knowledge in construction generally and has a great desire for developing low carbon, sustainable solutions which will be of direct benefit to our clients. His expertise will be a great asset to Carbon Futures as the company progress with the next stage of our expansion and growth.”

Commenting on his new role, David said: “I admire all that Carbon Futures stand for and feel that my experience in the residential sector will assist the company in achieving its goals for growth. I look forward to collaborating with Andrew and the industry on meeting the government’s carbon reduction targets in the most economically viable way possible for our clients.”

The appointment of a new director coincides with a move to new offices as the company look to build on an exceptional first 18 months.

Since the turn of the year Carbon Futures have taken up residence at The Whisky Bond in the west of Glasgow. Originally built as a bonded warehouse for Highland Distilleries in 1957, since 2012 The Whisky Bond has been home to a growing community of thinkers, designers, makers and doers.

The new base facilitates the company’s growth plans whilst enabling it to further enhance the level of service offered to its growing client base.
