Gillian Logan
Thenue Housing has made a key appointment to its property services team.
Gillian Logan has been appointed to the role of property services manager (development) following the retiral of the previous holder of the post.
A qualified architect and experienced housing professional, Gillian has a background spanning award-winning regeneration projects, private sector development consultancy and strategic roles in local authority new build delivery.
She previously supported West Dunbartonshire Council’s new build development strategy before serving as property services manager at Argyll Community Housing Association.
Gillian brings strong technical expertise, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to sustainable, high quality homes to her new role.
Gillian said: “I am delighted to take up this role at Thenue, supporting the delivery of a development programme which plays a vital role in responding to Glasgow’s housing emergency.
“Thenue has long been recognised for its commitment to people and place - creating well designed, sustainable homes that strengthen communities and providing opportunities for residents.
“Thenue’s current development programme brings together a diverse range of projects, from major regeneration within Dalmarnock’s masterplan to smaller, carefully considered infill developments and the sensitive restoration of listed buildings.
“Each project is underpinned by a strong placemaking approach, ensuring new homes contribute positively to their neighbourhoods while reflecting the character, heritage and priorities of the communities we serve.
“I am excited to be joining an organisation with such a strong track record of delivering high quality, community-focused developments which have already made a lasting difference across Glasgow and I look forward to helping shape the next chapter of impactful work that continues to strengthen our communities.”
In common with other housing providers, Thenue has reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to the delivery of community benefits as a crucial part of its ongoing development programme.
Gillian added: “Alongside new homes, our development programme will deliver meaningful community benefits, including apprenticeships, training pathways and employment opportunities for local people. By working closely with partners, contractors and community organisations, we aim to ensure that investment in our developments directly supports skills, livelihoods and long term social value within the neighbourhoods we build in.”
Welcoming Gillian to Thenue, interim chief executive Brian Gannon said: “Gillian brings a wealth of expertise and experience to this crucial role at Thenue. Our development programme is extensive and we will carry on building new homes with our partners the Scottish Government and Glasgow City Council to deliver much-needed affordable housing in our communities.”
