Glasgow City Council launches consultation for Greater Pollok draft Local Development Framework

Glasgow City Council has launched a public consultation for the Greater Pollok Local Development Framework (LDF) consultation draft.

The council has prepared the Draft Framework to provide a better structure and clearer direction for future development taking place in the area.

The Framework provides a long-term vision for the area and summarises the Council’s thinking around future developments such as transport, movement, retail and community facilities, housing, flooding and green spaces.

The initial target for the Framework is 2035, however elements of the plan could extend as far ahead as 2050.

If approved, it will become the adopted guidance for Glasgow’s City Development Plan and be an important policy consideration for future development in the Greater Pollok area.

The public consultation will run from the 21 November 2023 until 5 February 2024.

Comments can be submitted by following the online survey link to the Council’s Consultation Hub here or email to LDFConsultation@glasgow.gov.uk.

The council wants to gather as many views as possible from the local community, local businesses and those who have a stake in Greater Pollok.
