Hillcrest launches Financial Wellbeing Team
Hillcrest’s Tenancy Sustainment Service, one of the organisation’s tenant advice teams, has announced a significant change to its identity.
Effective immediately, the service will now be known as the Financial Wellbeing Team.
Despite the name change, the core objectives of the team remain unchanged.
The Financial Wellbeing Team will continue to offer invaluable assistance to tenants, providing guidance on entitlement to benefits and ensuring access to essential resources such as furniture and white goods for those who qualify.
Over the last year, just under £1.5 million has been generated by the team for Hillcrest tenant gain. A tenant who was recently supported was overwhelmed with gratitude and appreciation for the team who secured her a financial gain of £11,832. She tearfully recounted how she could now afford basic necessities, such as food, heating, and winter clothing. Remarkably, she shared that she had her first haircut in five years, a simple pleasure she had been deprived of due to financial constraints.
Louise Brownlow, Hillcrest’s assistant tenant services manager, said: “While our name may have evolved, our dedication to support tenants and promote financial stability remains the same. This new identity allows us to better communicate the comprehensive nature of our services and our commitment to the wellbeing of our tenants.”
