Mr Ridgway recently stepped down from the role after over a decade’s involvement in Hillcrest’s board of committee.

Mark Percival, Hillcrest’s director of property, said: “Don was appointed chair four years ago and over that time he has always believed in and supported the work of Hillcrest Maintenance and steered the board through some difficult decisions.

“One of his main contributions has been the growth of our apprenticeship programme, and his involvement with recruitment at the other end of the business, helping us with our appointment of Head of Hillcrest Maintenance.

“It has been a pleasure working with Don over the years and I’d like to thank him for his time and dedication to the organisation. Don has always been extremely supportive of all parts of Hillcrest and in particular for our fundraising initiatives including our charity shop and 50th anniversary dinner dance.”

Bruce Davidson joined the Hillcrest Maintenance board in February 2018.

Mark Percival added: “Bruce brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. Bruce has an MA in Economics and Management, is a Chartered Banker and has a CIOBS Diploma in Lending Skills. He is a Relationship Director in the Real Estate Finance team at Royal Bank of Scotland covering Tayside, Fife and Edinburgh, with over 15 years’ experience.

“We are really pleased to have Bruce on board and look forward to working with him in the coming years to continue to develop the services we offer to Hillcrest and the wider community.”
