The 41-unit development comprises flats, cottage flats and terraced houses. Tenants moved in over the summer and autumn of 2025 and all are delighted with the quality of their new homes.

The ribbon was cut by John Jamieson, chair of the Association. John has served on the Association’s management committee for nearly 20 years and has been chair since October 2021. John had the opportunity to meet several new tenants and hear how their new homes had made a real difference to their lives.

He said: “Findlay Drive has been a very important development for us as it marks a commitment to continue to build new homes wherever possible despite an extremely challenging financial environment. Not only have we added 41 units to the social housing stock to play our part in tackling Scotland’s housing emergency, but these are also homes built to the highest specifications in terms of insulation, fire safety, space standards and finishes.

“Obviously, a project like this requires partnership working, and we have been fortunate to have some great partners on this one. I’d like to wholeheartedly thank McTaggart Construction who built the units to such an exacting standard. A further thank you must go to C~urb who acted as development agents on the project, their expertise and insight was invaluable in navigating the complexities of a project like this.”

John also thanked the Scottish Government for grant funding and the Association’s long-term funding partner, the Royal Bank of Scotland. 
In closing, John paid tribute to the staff of the Association and to his fellow Management Committee members who all contributed to the success of the project.
