Homebuilding & Renovating Show announces 2026 return to Glasgow and Edinburgh

The Scottish Homebuilding & Renovating Show, Scotland’s only dedicated consumer exhibition for self-builders, home renovators and improvers, has officially confirmed its 2026 dates.

The event will return to the SEC, Glasgow on 9–10 May 2026, followed by the Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh on 3–4 October 2026.

There are a further six events across the UK throughout the year – Birmingham, Surrey, London, Harrogate, Somerset and Farnborough.

Sponsored by self-build specialists Fleming Homes, the shows offer businesses a unique platform to engage directly with serious homeowners and home renovators in Scotland.

“We are delighted to return to Glasgow and Edinburgh in 2026,” said Nick Noble, commercial & events director at Future plc. “There is huge enthusiasm for building your own home in Scotland, which makes up around 8% of the UK population but represents 12% of all the nation’s self-build homes.”

The 2026 shows provide exhibitors with the opportunity to connect with a targeted audience of thousands who view their homes as their primary asset. With a combination of live projects and substantial budgets, show visitors provide exhibitors with the unique opportunity to open new commercial streams and significant ROI.

Nick added: “Our first show of 2026, in Farnborough, had over 10,500 visitors, representing a staggering 25% increase on last year and there is strong demand for exhibition space at our Glasgow and Edinburgh shows. This is the optimal time for companies to secure their presence at our Scotish shows, and and capitalise on this lucrative market.”

The 2026 shows will cover a comprehensive range of sectors, including:

  • Extensions, Conversions, and Home DIY
  • Interiors, Lighting, Doors, and Windows
  • Renewable Technologies, and Energy-Efficient Heating
  • Planning Permission, Building Regulations, and Project Insurance
