Housing data intelligence specialist Housemark has appointed Mike Dougan as senior account manager for Scotland.

Mike’s appointment comes as Housemark embarks on ambitious next-generation plans to transform how members access and use data through advanced digital solutions. He joined the organisation on 1 December 2025 after more than two years as engagement manager Scotland at the Chartered Institute of Housing.

Based in Edinburgh, Mike will lead Housemark’s engagement with social landlords across Scotland, building stronger partnerships and helping members maximise the value of their membership. He will work closely with organisations to deliver tailored services that unlock actionable insights from data, enabling better decisions and improved outcomes for the communities they serve.

Mike brings extensive experience of working with registered social landlords, local authorities, sector bodies and professional networks, most recently with CIH Scotland. He has a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the Scottish housing sector.

Speaking about his appointment, Mike said he was motivated by the opportunity to support improvement through stronger insight.

He said: “I believe in social good and in the positive change the housing sector can create. If we want to build lasting impact we need a clear understanding of the market, the pressures shaping it and the needs of the organisations and tenants within it.

“Robust data is fundamental to that. It enables transparency, collaboration and better decisions. We do not have the luxury of getting these decisions wrong and for me this is where I can help. I am proud to join Housemark and be part of the solution.”

Mike added: “As a long-serving member of the CIH Scotland team and a fellow Scot, I have been fortunate to work with some of the most dedicated professionals in the Scottish housing sector who are doing vital work in challenging times.

“If we want to maximise return on investment and demonstrate real impact, we have to do so with the very best data. I am looking forward to supporting landlords with high-quality insight that reflects their needs and helps deliver positive change.”

Rob Griffiths, chief executive of Housemark, said: “It is great to welcome Mike to Housemark at an important time for social housing in Scotland. As landlords work to tackle the housing emergency declared by the Scottish Government last year, we can help more Scottish landlords to use data in ways that improve services and create better homes for tenants.

“Mike brings trusted relationships, local sector knowledge and a clear commitment to our values that matter to our customers. He will help us strengthen our presence in Scotland and ensure more landlords can benefit from data, insight and the context that Housemark provides.”
