Housing professionals set to gather in Glasgow for conference to support sector’s future leaders
Share will host an event this March aimed at empowering the next generation of housing professionals on their career journeys.
The Young Housing Professionals’ Conference will bring together early‑career staff for a day of practical learning, confidence‑building and personal development.
Designed specifically for those at the beginning of their careers, the conference will offer tools, insights and inspiration to help young professionals grow, thrive and lead within a fast‑changing sector.
Delegates will take part in a series of interactive sessions, including:
• Self‑Leadership
Explores how taking ownership of your identity, choices and energy can transform the way you lead yourself and others.
• Engaging Communities with Confidence
Provides practical guidance on how to take an active role in community engagement and how much impact consistent engagement can have within the community.
• Embracing Fear and Transforming Stress
Paula McGuire (Author, Speaker, Triathlete, Wing-Walker, Trainee Astronaut and Mental Health Ambassador) tells her inspiring story to encourage delegates to reclaim control over their lives and harness stress as a catalyst for positive change.
The event will also provide opportunities for networking, peer learning and connecting with those who are passionate about the sector.
Rachel Cope, marketing and communications officer at Share, said: “Young professionals are shaping the future of the housing sector. This conference is about giving them the skills and confidence to grow, innovate and make a real impact in the communities and organisations they serve.”
The Young Housing Professionals’ Conference reflects a growing commitment across the sector to developing future leadership, supporting wellbeing and equipping new staff with the tools they need to succeed.
