Kingdom breathes new life into Hyundai site with 56 new Dunfermline homes

Dunlin Drive housing block 3Kingdom Housing Association is on site with its latest project at Dunlin Drive, South Dunfermline, where 56 new affordable homes are being developed at a cost of £6.7 million.

The site, part of the former Hyundai plant, is being developed for Kingdom by Persimmon Partnership Homes as part of a larger mixed tenure development.

Scott Kirkpatrick, Kingdom’s acting director of development, said: “The project started in March 2016 and will be completed next year, providing both social rented and mid market rented homes to meet the identified needs in the area.”

The Scottish Government provided around £2.9m subsidy support to Kingdom for the £6.7m project.

The Kingdom properties are being provided as part of the affordable housing policy requirements for the site.

Colin Connell, development director for Persimmon Partnerships (Scotland), added: “We’re delighted to be working in partnership with Kingdom Housing Association to deliver much needed affordable social housing in South Dunfermline.

“The completion of the 56 new homes at Dunlin Drive is another example of our successful partnership working with Kingdom Housing Association and we look forward to working with them again in the future.”
