Kingdom highlights customer-focused housing and care in annual project tour

The Kingdom Group has once again demonstrated its ongoing progress in delivering high-quality, customer-focused services during the annual project tour.

Representatives from funding partners, staff, board members and key stakeholders visited sites and heard first-hand how Kingdom is investing in affordable housing and community-based care. The tour highlighted how these priorities are being delivered through strong partnerships while keeping customers at the heart of decision-making.

The first stop was at the construction site of Kingdom’s new purpose-built facility on Boston Road, bringing all Glenrothes-based teams together in one modern building. The investment will deliver benefits to customers and staff for decades to come.

It will have air-source heat pumps, solar panels, electric vehicle charging, and flexible workspaces that support how Kingdom’s teams work now and in the future.

Linda Leslie, chair of Kingdom Housing Association, said: “Boston Road is about how we work as One Kingdom. Bringing teams together in this way strengthens collaboration and helps us respond more effectively to the needs of our customers. It’s important to us as an organisation that we go beyond simply providing housing, we are committed to delivering more than a home by supporting people, communities and long-term outcomes.”

The tour continued to Curlers Crescent in Milnathort, a social rent development forming part of a wider private Springfield development featuring 16 highly energy-efficient cottage flats and houses. Guests got to speak to Kingdom’s Grounds Maintenance team, who were there talking about how to keep communities clean and tidy.

Visitors also travelled to Leslie Court in Perth. This stop included a tour of the refurbishment and conversion of 16 one-bedroom flats into eight two-bedroom flats, a walk around Kingdom’s Perth Office, and a visit to the Community Mural on Angus Court.

Using the Fairfield Trust Fund, which provides ring-fenced funding to benefit the local community, artist Donna Forrester worked with residents to develop three designs based on what mattered most to them. The winning design features local wildlife, Smeaton’s Bridge and the Perth skyline.

To conclude the tour, guests visited Kingdom Support and Care’s Locheil service, where they spoke with a resident living in a supported accommodation setting with wraparound care. The resident shared how their home and the support they receive have transformed their life.

Tom Barclay, Kingdom Group chief executive, said: “Our annual project tour is a great opportunity to show the work our teams do every day to support our local communities. At Kingdom, we’re committed to providing more than a home, and we do that by maintaining outdoor spaces and supporting residents to stay in their homes. It all contributes to creating places people are proud to live in.”
