Lar Housing Trust has made a series of promotions in a move it said will strengthen its senior management structure.

Alan Nisbet has been promoted to the position of director of assets and will also take up a role on the board of subsidiary Lar Operations CIC. Nicole Maxwell has been promoted from operations manager to director and will also sit on the CIC board.

Alan and Nicole have played a critical role in creating and developing Lar’s award-winning property management and maintenance team, and earlier this year they successfully launched a new service line, Lar Property and Estate Management, to support other property owners and landlords.

Group director of finance, Neil Griffin, has been appointed to the boards of both Lar’s subsidiary companies, Lar Operations CIC and construction arm Lar Projects Ltd. Neil has led the transformation of Lar’s finance function over the past two years to be able to support Lar group’s growth strategy.

Chief executive, Mikko Ramstedt, said: “These promotions are very well deserved and reflect the huge contribution Alan, Nicole and Neil have made to Lar’s success and the importance of their roles to Lar being able to deliver its charitable aims and objectives and to look after our tenants and communities well.

“They have brought a great deal of enthusiasm as well as considerable relevant expertise to their work and I look forward to their continued dedicated service as we continue to help tackle the shortage of high-quality mid-market rental homes across Scotland.”

The various appointments were approved at this month’s group board meeting and take immediate effect.
