Link highlights long-term sustainability commitment in latest report
Link Group has published its Sustainability Report for 2024/25, providing a detailed account of the organisation’s progress toward its environmental and social goals.
By aligning with the Sustainability Reporting Standard for Social Housing (SRS), the document serves as a transparent record of the Group’s efforts to enhance tenant wellbeing and environmental performance across Scotland.
The report acknowledges that while significant steps have been taken, sustainability in the housing sector remains an evolving challenge.
The 2024/25 report highlights several key areas where this steady, focused work is delivering tangible benefits for communities:
- Improving energy standards: Link has continued to prioritise the energy efficiency of its homes, with 84.5% of its housing stock now achieving an EPC rating of Band C or above.
- Direct financial support: The Link Advice Team successfully delivered over £2 million in financial gains for tenants, providing essential support by signposting and unlocking benefits and grants.
- Accessible housing: To ensure homes remain fit for purpose as tenants’ accessibility needs change, 454 adaptations were completed across the group’s properties.
- Community investment: Link’s Community Benefit initiatives facilitated the creation of 128 jobs and work placements, strengthening local economies and opening new career paths.
Andy Jack, sustainability manager at Link Group, said: “This report is about more than just numbers; it is a demonstration of our commitment to being open about our progress and the work still ahead of us.
“We view sustainability as an ongoing journey, where incremental improvements contribute to the long-term resilience of our communities. In this report, we demonstrate how sustainability impacts every part of Link Group and recognise that the progress we are making is the result of the combined efforts of colleagues, partners and stakeholders.
“We invite our partners and peers to read the full report and join us in reflecting on the collective progress we are making.”
